This gorgeous husky is Randy. I know huskies are beautiful and it is "fashionable" to have this kind of dog, but it is so hot here!! and I bet their owners do not wear a coat the whole day. Or at least, do not abandon him! Because he is not the only one, and I was told that a few years ago there were even more.
From my point of view, this kind of breeds should be forbidden in countries like Singapore and also where summer is very hot, like some places in Spain.

Marina Bay Sand from another perspective. I would like to take this picture at night too, because of the bridge lighting. But I need to buy a tripod first...
That day I overheard some tourists saying how ugly this building was. I have to say that I do like the Marina Bay, what do you think?
PS. Happy birthday Marta!! Una tarta especialmente para ti, jajaja!

I went this morning to the Spanish embassy, and after that, I went to the library@esplanade and I found this nice exhibition of some school students. Their paintings are inspired in different values, such as truth, courage, trust or harmony.I think they did it for the National day. I specially liked what a girl wrote about courage: "You will never discover new oceans unless you have the courage to step out of the shore"

On Sunday, the idea was going to Carnarvon National Park, but the last the road was unpaved and we were worried about the car since we had to take a flight the next day and we were 800km from Coolangata, so decided not to go.... However it was worth it, because we saw many kangaroos!!!! There were many packs of them, but the were scared of cars, and it was difficult to take pictures of them. This one gave us enough time to take at least one shot! They are so cute! Unfortunately, we also saw too many dead kangaroos on the road....

On Friday we wanted to hire a kayak, but it was very windy and the most important thing, there were not kayaks available in the morning. So we went hiking on Conway National Park, next to Airlie Beach. This picture is at Swam Bay. The shore was full of this kind of "fossils", although it is not know how they end up there.

Thursday was a great day. We joined a tour with Whitehaven Xpress and it was very good (maybe because there were not bus and resorts, hehe). They took us to this lookout on one of the islands and then we went to one of the beaches (Whitsunday beach, I think), where we spent some time and had a good BBQ for lunch. And after lunch, snorkeling at the Great Reef Barrier!

If you are going to the Fraser Island, you have to hire a tour. Or you can rent a D4 car, which it is pretty expensive. But there are not internal buses. We tried to hike to one of the lakes, but signs were confusing (at some point it said 6km, 10 minutes later it said 7.5km, and we were walking in the right direction...) And whether you like it or not, you have to go to the resorts they have built in the island... So, if you don't like those tours in which you spent a lot if time in the bus, you stop 1 hour for a coffee in every resort, and only have 10 min to take pictures in the places you want to visit, I don't recommend this island. It's a pity, because I'm sure the beaches are beautiful....
At least we took some nice pics and saw some goannas climbing trees.

We slept at Noosa Backpackers Resort, in Noosaville. In the morning, we went to Noosa National Park for a hike, where we met this "little" lizard. I was told it is a goanna, and we saw many others in others places too. I had seen some similar animals in Singapore, but never had the chance to photograph them before. Maybe these ones are more used to people. I took many pictures of him too, but I didn't take a shoot like this one of Fulvio. Did you see the tongue?
We saw a koala too! he was in a very high tree, but it was exciting to see a wild one.

I chose one of Fulvio's photos for today.
On Sunday morning we went to Springbrook National Park for a hike. In the afternoon we drove north until Noosaville. In our way we stopped in Moolooba, and I discovered that Australians don't like shoes, hahaha!! I don't know if it is only in that area because there are many surfers (I saw it too in SB), but I saw many barefoot people, even drivers! It was funny when I saw in a restaurant that they specify that it's mandatory to wear shoes. Although something similar happens in the Spanish coast, where restaurants have to specify to wear a t-shirt, right? But without shoes you can get hurt or step on something "unpleasant"; maybe they streets are so clean they don't have that problem...

We arrived to Coolangata around 8.30am and after picking up the rental car, we went to a nearby Springbrook National Park. The idea was to sleep in a camping site, but the only one we could find didn't have showers and hot water, so we tried to find something else, which wasn't easy. After asking in different places, we were told about Rumbalara Bed&Breakfast. It is a lovely place, the owners are very nice and the breakfast was really good. It's a pity we couldn't stay longer and meet some of the local wildlife.
This photo is at Natural Bridge.
